Ammonia

Danat Saudia offers industry-leading solutions for the removal of ammonia from wastewater, tailored to the specific discharge requirements of each site. We recognize that ammonia treatment is not a one-size-fits-all challenge. Depending on the discharge destination and reuse goals, we offer differentiated approaches that balance technical performance with cost efficiency. For industrial wastewater being routed to centralized treatment plants or internal reuse, our systems reliably reduce ammonia concentrations to below 120 ppm, meeting typical regulatory discharge limits to Marafiq.

When the discharge location is seawater then our solutions have to be able to meet much stricter guidelines – and our technology is able to reduce ammonia levels down to <3ppm for seawater discharge. For Petrochemical processes and closed loop solutions we have also reliably provided ammonia treatment for several years that met <1ppm Ammonia contamination, even when inlet concentrations exceed 13,000 ppm.

Our ammonia treatment systems have been deployed in emergency response scenarios, such as heat exchanger leaks, as well as long-term projects targeting groundwater remediation. With the ability to handle wide variability in feedwater quality and high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) content, Danat provides Saudi clients with resilient, scalable ammonia solutions that allow the end user to focus on production rather than how to manage water streams.

Danat Saudia’s Advantages

Rapid Response

  • Danat Saudia maintains a Rapid Response fleet of equipment to support clients with their emergency situations

  • Danat Saudia’s Rapid Response can be mobilised and installed within 72 hours and within the first day of operation will have treated more than disposal by truck alternative running for four days.

A timeline infographic for a waste management project by Danat Saudia. It includes days 1 to 7, detailing activities such as mobilization, installation, commissioning, treatment, and demobilization. Waste management companies Veolia and others are noted, with daily truck counts and volume metrics.

No contamination too high

  • Danat Saudia is able to handle the highest contamination loading in process and waste water in Saudi Arabia

  • Perfectly suited for excursions during operation or during turnarounds

  • Outlet from Danat Saudia systems are reliably onspec to ensure no delay or shutdown due to water treatment
